Mark Sullivan is a strategic partner with SLPR, bringing some 40 years of experience in broadcasting, journalism and corporate public relations to the firm. Prior to joining SLPR, Mark spent 26 years with United Technologies Corporation (UTC). He was Director of Media Relations for jet engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney, and also served as Vice President of Communications for the Hamilton Standard (now Hamilton Sundstrand) division. He has had wide experience in media relations, international communications, crisis management and labor relations issues. Prior to his years at UTC Mark was a journalist for WICC radio in Bridgeport and later at the Associated Press in Hartford.
Founded by Principals Gene Sheehan, Paddi LeShane and Patrick Sullivan, SLPR has worked with clients in every corner of Connecticut and has strong contacts in the media and the business community throughout the state. James D. Battaglio is vice president emeritus of Corporate Communications for Hartford (CT) Hospital and the Connecticut Health System, and currently works as a strategic partner with SLPR. He is a Connecticut native with more than 40 years experience in journalism and healthcare administration. A former award-winning reporter and columnist with The Hartford Times, Jim served as Vice President of Corporate Communications for Hartford Hospital for 25 years.
