Reptile Man - Ask your Half Day Campers about the repitles they saw today! The Full Day campers will see him on Friday along with Jared Hall, a Christian Illusionist. MISSIONS PROJECT - CHINA Monday and Tuesday the camp brought in $2900 that will go to the Dong people of SW China. We have two young men that have volunteered to shave their head if their group brings in the heaviest amount of coins. These two have a lot of hair! So keep bringing in those coins! Life Groups - At Westwood, we believe that life change happens in the context of small groups. No matter what the size of a church might be, a single pastor or toher staff member can never personally minister to everyone who attends. By establishing LIFE GROUPS, Westwood has created environments for biblecal community to occur. Small Groups provide a more personal environment where you can experience the passionate love of Christ and fellow believers. Elementary God’s love is so amazing that it motivates us to love Him in return and pass His love on to others. Tell About It Here are some questions to ask your child to review the Bible story and verse: • Who seemed the most likely to help the beaten man? Why? • Who seemed the LEAST likely to help the beaten man? Why? • What were some of the choices the Samaritan had to make? Why might it have been hard to make these choices? • What do you think it means to love God with all our hearts? • How would you describe the kind of love we are to show our neighbor? Live It! As a family, choose one or more of these activities to live out what your child is learning at SonQuest Rainforest. • Ask family members to vote on their favorite recipes. Spend some time together in the kitchen preparing these recipes. Then pack up the food and take it to a neighborhood family whose lives have been recently changed by a new baby, illness, move or other major change. • Tape large sheets of construction paper or newsprint to a fence or wall outside. With a water gun, attempt to write a way to show we love God (pray, read the Bible, sing worship songs, etc.). See if other family members can guess the words you are writing. Person who guesses correctly writes another word for others to guess. • Take a sightseeing challenge. Go to a park, a beach, a mall or even your backyard. Give each family member paper and a pencil. Each person writes as many things as possible that he or she sees.
