Sun Pools was founded in 1979 by Tom McKenzie, a homebuilder with some background in institutional building. We've remained in the same location for over 29 years, serving our community and others within 60 miles of Brenham, Texas. Sun Pools is a company you can trust. We are members of the Brenham Chamber of Commerce and the Bryan Better Business Bureau. We carry workers' compensation insurance and general liability insurance. Sun Pools specializes in residential custom swimming pools. We do not build for the commercial market or divide our time between remodeling and running a pool service. Our goal is to provide our customer with the best product possible within their budget. We do everything that you need to complete the pool so that all you have to do is add water! When you hire us to build the pool of your dreams, we make sure to custom design the pool to fit your needs. Some people use a cookie-cutter approach of ten basic designs "take it or leave it" but that's not the way we work. Tom McKenzie will work with you personally to create that perfect design to fit your needs, and he is available at all times to answer any questions. We may go through several design phases, and that's okay we want your pool to be right for you! Once we get started, Sun Pools takes care of all the preliminaries, such as permits, calling for underground clearances, among other details. During building, we supervise all phases of the construction to ensure quality control. Our construction coordinator will insure that work proceeds at a steady pace. Once we start construction, it moves along very quickly. We are usually to the Gunite stage (the pool "shell") by the end of the first week. The second week is used to install plumbing, electrical work, and tile and coping around the pool. During the third week the walkway around the pool will be installed. Finally, the fourth week will include installation of plaster and filling the pool. This schedule, of course, is weather permitting. In rainy weather, some steps may have to be extended. There are no hidden charges with Sun Pools. A contract will be approved by the owner and Sun Pools outlining the agreement in detail. We will not come back during the work and ask for more money because we forgot something. If we forget, we lose. Period. After your pool has been built, we are still there to help! We have a full-time water analysis person on staff to assist you with water problems and concerns. We use Bio Labs computerized water system to make sure your pool is started up correctly when initially filled. Also, when you use BioGuard chemicals, we will do free water analyses to make sure your water is always in top shape. Sun Pools will make your construction experience a pleasant one.
