Description
The Capital Campaign goal of $1.8 million was met at the end of 2007, thanks to hundreds of generous supporters. The completion of the 17,000 square foot building addition occurred at the same time. The second phase of growth began with the new year; the construction crew started the renovations to the existing building. Sunshine House employees are appreciating the improvements on the new production floor while they are busy at work or participating in day services. The comment most often heard from first time viewers has been, “Wow, it’s so big, bright and beautiful!” A pledge challenge of $200,000, made to the community by an extremely generous local family, was largely responsible for wrapping up the campaign. We are truly living in a great community that can support the future needs of human service agencies like Sunshine House Incorporated The renovations were completed in June 2008.
