Newspapers around the world, including The NEW YORK TIMES and WASHINGTON POST, have described Janice Martin's playing as "brilliant" and "splendid" where "perfection was never in question". A musical Leonardo da Vinci of our time, Ms. Martin is a virtuoso violinist, soprano, pianist, dancer, actor and astoundingly, an aerialist. Janice was featured on the NBC television show “America’s Got Talent”, was awarded the use of the 1708 Burstein/Bagshawe Stradivarius Violin for her concerts, and a debut recital at the New York Carnegie Hall to glowing reviews. From there her career has taken her to four continents. Her unique multidimensional talents wow popular, classical and jazz audiences alike in her unique performances and popular shows "World on a String", "A Gershwin Fantasy" and pops concerto “Paganini Mania!” (with Janice as violinist, soprano and pianist with orchestra). A recent tour in China had the newspapers glowingly call her “Supergirl.” Janice has won major competitions to include the Washington International Competition, the Young Artist International Competition, and the Career Award Grant from the Commission on the Arts and Sciences of the National Endowment for the Arts. Janice was awarded to be a recipient violinist of the Stradivari Society of Chicago to play the 1708 Burstein-Bagshawe Stradivarius Violin. She is a graduate of the Juilliard and Indiana Schools of Music. Truly a multi-dimensional crossover artist, Janice has had composers write for her including Steven Stuckey, David Bixler, Bob Goldstone, Uli Geissendoerfer, Brandon Terzic and Charlie Barnett (who wrote her a “Concerto in Fourths”, Ms. Martin composing the cadenzas). She has performed her one-woman shows and as guest soloist with artists as varied as The Milwaukee Symphony, The European Union Chamber Orchestra, The New York Symphonic Ensemble (including their 2000-2009 Japan tours), the 2009 Thailand National Dance Festival, Jazz great Larry Willis as well as having worked with Broadway Director Jonathan Cerullo on her recent show "Dear Mr. Gershwin." Janice has participated in projects with the Discovery and History Channels, the Miramax film "Paperclips", Branson, MO show "Fiery Fiddles" as well as engagements with Cirque de la Symphony and Cirque USA. She co-created and co-starred with fiddler Frank Leahy in "An Unlikely Affair"
