Superior Machine and Welding is located in the Port of Anchorage, and our modern facility is equipped with the most up to date equipment available to supply your tooling needs. Total in-house capabilities include machining, welding and fabrication, allowing us to give excellent service at competitive prices. Superior equipment, years of experience and the desire to be the leader in the machining and repair industry give us the combination we need to serve your industry in the most efficient manner available. We have been in business since 1950, when Jack L. Whitmore purchased the first shop across from the Alaska Railroad. The shop relocated to the current property on Ship Avenue in 1959. An addition was added in 1964 along with new oilfield equipment and training for oilfield work. The shop size is currently 10,000 square feet. With a growing commitment to keep up with our customer’s needs, we added a CNC department in 2000, which specializes in manufacturing custom solutions. The CNC department provides our customers with the ability to mass produce parts that meet their specific needs. Superior Machine and Welding: We can come to you! We offer pick-up and delivery in the Anchorage Bowl Area, and we offer services statewide.
