Patricia Miller Caplicki joined the Surflight Board in 2012. She serves as chair of the Alumni Relations Committee. Patricia is a graduate of the College of St. Elizabeth and the Cardozo Law School. She is a practicing attorney in New York City for Turner Construction Co. and brings to the board experience in contracts as well as ethics and compliance issues. Patricia’s mother, Eleanor Miller, was the original company manager at Surflight Theatre and after the death of Surflight founder Joseph P. Hayes became the executive producer.
Founded in 1950 by Joseph P. Hayes, Surflight Theatre is Ocean County's oldest professional AEA theatre company and has a rich local history. Now in our 65th year, Surflight Theatre continues to grow and provide those who venture to Long Beach Island, an unforgettable getaway experience. Surflight has been the home of many accomplished theatre professionals as well as serving as a training ground for students interested in pursuing a career in the theatre. Since 1975, Surflight has also been the home of the nationally famous Show Place Ice Cream Parlour complete with singing service staff.
David Kreines joined the Surflight Board in 2007. He is chair of the Facilities Committee and a member of the Finance Committee. He has previously served as board chairman, vice chairman, and secretary. Dave holds a B.S. from Temple University and an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, and also attended Temple University School of Law. Dave has over 30 years of experience in information technology and served as president, director, and chair of the Annual Conference Committee for the International Oracle Users Group.
