Patricia Ukropec is owner of the newly renovated Swarthmore Hair Studio; an Aveda Concept Salon. She is a Pennsylvania licensed cosmetology teacher with 30+ years of experience and has been a salon owner for 25 years. Her industry skills remain current and crisp by her participation in prestigious continuing education programs conducted both domestically and abroad. She is a certified Aveda hair colorist as well as a certified barber concentrating in updated men’s designer haircuts. Patricia has studied under such masters in the beauty industry as Vidal Sassoon, Graham Webb, Trevor Sorbie, Toni & Guy, Paul Mitchell and Irvine and Rita Rusk. Patricia continues to stay on the cutting edge of fashion by attending classes and workshops at the Aveda Academy in Minneapolis and London which are the transition destinations for International Hair Fashion Shows in London, Paris, Milan, and Prague as well as in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. As an active member of the Professional Beauty Association and the International Hair Color Exchange, she understands and instructs her understudies in corrective and dimensional color processes. She is an expert at customizing or personalizing client appearances and completing their new look with appropriate makeup applications. Among her various specialties is the French Balayage hair color highlighting for which she earned certification in Paris. Her hair cutting expertise focuses on French dry cuts or wet cuts which when combined with the application of Aveda products will complete the total salon experience. An award winning Manhattan salon designer has professionally designed our totally renovated salon. The salon provides maximum efficiency and incorporates modern ergonomic and environmental equipment.
