WELCOME TO THE SWCMA Southwest Center for the Martial Arts Enrichment Program is age and ability appropriate and will teach your child more than just karate. Children learn to be good citizens and learn about safety and karate skills. Your child will learn to: share, take turns, follow direction, set goals, develop self-esteem, respect, honesty, teamwork, sportsmanship, coordination, stamina and fundamental motor skills while learning karate. The program offers fun and exciting ways for students to learn traditional Okinawan Shrorin-Ryu karate and self defense. The program focuses on courtesy, respect, self-esteem, conflict resolution, discipline, control, concentration and physical fitness. Today's youth face many difficult challenges and situations, and karate provides a strong foundation to meet those challenges.
