Content, General Manager Prior to managing Sweerts & Vaas, Philippe was a Vice President of Corporate Development of the New Jersey Nanotechnology Consortium (NJNC) a wholly owned subsidiary of Lucent Technologies, Incorporated His business career started in 1989, at Bank Brussels Lambert while working in the M&A Department. In 1992, he relocated to New York and started working at BNP Paribas. From there, he moved to Vereinsbank, the second largest German bank where he was responsible for the Latin American Corporate Finance efforts. In 1999, Philippe joined Lucent Technologies. While there he was responsible for acquisitions, divestitures, spin-outs, joint ventures, fund raising, as well as strategic planning for key business units. Philippe holds a master’s degree in engineering in Telecommunications and Armaments-Ballistics from the Brussels Royal Military Academy and an MBA from Boston University. Prior to obtaining his MBA, he was a Captain in a NATO Special Forces Unit. He speaks 5 languages, has completed transactions on 3 continents and holds NASD Series 24, 63 and 82 licenses. He is a founding member of the NJNC Board as well as the New Jersey Association for Corporate Growth. He currently sits on the board for W2bi, as well as on the advisory committees for Tradequest International, Incorporated and CIT. Jim Kopley, Financial and Operations Principal With over two decades of senior level business experience Jim has a track record of performance in both turn around and start-up situations. He was co-founder of the first electronic bond 'exchange' to receive a SEC no-action letter to trade as an alternative trading system. He helped raise over $16 Million from institutional investors, which included the leading .com venture fund, Softbank. Jim was the Head of National Accounts for the Brokerage Division of ADP where he was responsible for sales and marketing to the nation's largest banks, broker/dealers and insurance companies. He also held Vice President level positions at Citibank. Jim served in the United States Army, as an Infantry Officer, attaining the rank of Captain. He served as a gubernatorial appointed Trustee of the New Jersey Police and Firemen's Retirement System and Member of the New Jersey State Investment Council which has statutory responsibility for oversight of the $70 billion in various State and Pension funds. Mr. Kopley received a BA degree from Seton Hall University, a BS degree from The George Washington University and an MBA from the Wharton School. He holds NASD Series 7, 24, 27 and 63 licenses. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Pace University where he teaches an MBA elective course. Jim is also a financial consultant with Modern Regulatory Services LLC, a nationally recognized financial and regulatory compliance firm. John R.
