Description

Beth has been working in our Technical Support Department since May of 1996. With over five years of previous experience in training and technical support for applications running on a UNIX platform, Beth has a firm foundation in software and customer support services. Her in-depth knowledge of PressureMAP, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills provide important credentials for her role as Technical Support Representative and Supervisor at System Studies.

In addition to our primary function of providing products, services and technical support to telephone companies, System Studies contributes to the local community in more personal ways. Our employees and owners donate their time, money and effort to a number of organizations who provide assistance to the people in our city and county. In the 25 years prior to 2008, System Studies was actively involved with United Way of Santa Cruz County. Employee monetary contributions and matching dollars from System Studies were used to fund the variety of local organizations supported by United Way.

System Studies has been providing cable pressurization instructional courses both at our Santa Cruz, California training facility and at telephone company locations nation-wide for over 32 years. Each of our experienced instructors has extensive knowledge of course material and how training concepts and practices can best be applied in the field.

Graduate of San Jose State University, with a B.S. Degree in Industrial Design. Mr. Simpkins has accumulated nearly four degades of experience in cable pressurization, the last 34 with System Studies Incorporated. He has played a central role in the development and writing of several engineering guidelines and has also been the driving force behind the development and evolution of the PressureMAP™ and PressureWEB™ software. As President of Operations, he is currently responsible for the management of System Studies.

In the mid-1980s System Studies introduced our first hardware product: the Flow Finder™. The Flow Finder is a simple device that is installed at key locations along an air pipe route to provide a convenient and accurate means of measuring air pipe consumption. The immediate success of the Flow Finders helped to define subsequent product development efforts. A short time later we began developing a line of high resolution pressure and flow monitoring devices. The High Resolution Flow Transducer was designed to be used with Flow Finder.
