Founded in 1990, TGV Partners has sponsored transactions ranging from LBOs and leveraged recapitalizations to traditional growth capital investments. Our track record encompasses over $150 million of private equity investments in transactions valued at over $400 million.
In May 1991, the park was acquired by TGV and Southbrook Corporation in a $16 million LBO transaction. Key factors were the large size of the local market, the opportunity to increase market penetration, the barriers to entry for new competitors, and the operating experience of the principals of Southbrook Corporation. The business was sold in April 1999 to a strategic acquirer for approximately $27 million.
Mitch has provided strategic management to various partner companies, and, since 1998, has served as CEO and, currently, Chairman of Vantage Mobility International, a manufacturer of mobility products for disabled consumers. He has served as a Board Director of Thompson-Center Arms, VMI, QuickStart, Stratford American, Suiza Foods, and Smarte Carte.
B. Manischewitz Company is a leading manufacturer of kosher food products, that held a U.S. market share for matzo products of approximately 70% at the time of acquisition. The company's brand names, including Manischewitz, Goodman and Horowitz Bros. & Margareten, were among the best known in the kosher food industry. TGV was attracted to Manischewitz due to the extraordinary stability of the market for its products and for the opportunity to expand its product line through product line extensions and acquisitions.
