Mike concluded service with Pan Am after twenty years and moved to the next exciting phase in his career; creating his own full service Fixed Base Operator Flight School and Maintenance Base: TML Aircraft. Mike chose scenic Sullivan County for this endeavor and worked diligently to create a corporation that was based in quality and safety. His goal was to provide a superlative experience for all people who wished to experience the dream of flight - whether they be new pilots or seasoned aircraft owners. An accomplished pilot himself, he knew well that the key to success in aviation was unswerving dedication to safe, best practice.
While challenging, the ability to fly on instruments improves safety, reduces insurance costs, and increases opportunities for travel. You will learn the same procedures used by the airlines. When proficient, you will be able to take off and see nothing outside the window until just before landing. Our instructors are willing to fly in actual instrument conditions with students to provide crucial experience in dealing with weather. Your training will be made easier (and more cost effective!) with our FAA-certified filght simulator.
TML Aircraft is a full-service operations base and FAR Part 61 flight training center at Cherry Ridge Airport (N30), located 3 miles south of Honesdale, Pennsylvania. TML Aircraft provides A&P service and support on generial aviation aircraft and offers flight training to students pursuing the VFR, IFR, CFI, CFII, MEI and MEII ratings. Ground instruction and cockpit-based training are supplemented by our on-site simulator, enabling practice of key skills and also continued instruction during 'off times' from the in-plane environment.
Do you sweat at the thought of boarding an airliner? We can help. This is an individualized course, designed to educate the non-pilot about the flight environment. Our staff has experience in putting nervous flyers at ease, and providing experiences that demonstrate exactly what is happening when you fly. Taking control of our airplane under expert flight instruction will help you take control of your flight fears. This course includes both ground and flight instruction.
