Our History In 1975, TRL Trucking was founded by Stephen P. Hrobuchak Jr. and his father as a family-owned trucking company with two trucks. Stephen began his trucking business life as a driver running to the West Coast and back hauling fresh produce to earn money to pay for his college education. In 1976, an injury forced him to come off the road and that's when he began his management role. By 1980, the family business had grown to 40 trucks on the heels of nationwide deregulation. The vision, commitment, innovation and management talent that he and his father exhibited were the direct force behind TRL's early success. And these same qualities continue today and generate the vision, insight, and tradition of excellence that characterize TRL.
