Tap Root Farm is a four generation All-Natural Beef Cattle & Event Center Farm located in Franklin, TN. Our 350 acres of lush manicured grass is the luxury home to our Angus Beef Herd and American Quarter Horses. We host Farm Weddings, Corporate Events, Team Building Activities, Picnics, Farm Summer Camp, Original Mud Runs, Family Reunions, Equestrian Clinics, Horseback Riding Birthday Parties, Horseback Riding Lessons, Trail Rides, Ranch Rodeos, Public Events and Private Parties. It is our personal Blessing to be entrusted with this land by our Creator and Heavenly Father. We, the Ingraham Family, have been the “caretakers” of Tap Root Farm for over 50 years. You may purchase individual cuts, smatter packs, 1/4, 1?2 or whole beef depending on your budget & freezer space. Your family and guests will rave over the wonderful flavor and tenderness of our all natural beef. Our beef is raised on our farm and goes from the hoof to your table. You know the source of your product and are sure of its full quality reaching your table. A 1/2 beef feeds a family of 4/ 5 for approximately 7 - 12 months. (1/2 is split head to tail yielding all cuts for both halves) Our finished beef will weigh from a 1000-1200+ lbs. Example: Live wt.:1000 lbs. Dressed/Hang wt.(60-64%): estimated for scenario: 620 lbs (our production is above the industry standard of 50%- this means a higher yield for your family's eating pleasure) *Less the bone, fat, loss, shrinkage(25%-30%) = 435-465 lbs. of beef Of 450 lbs+/- of beef there will be approximately: Hamburger/stew meat= 40-45% Roast Cuts= 30-35% (shoulder roast, brisket, Tri-Tip, Steaks= 25-30% (T-Bone, NY Strip, Ribeye, Sirloin, Del Monico, Flat Iron, Denver, Sierra) So, if the current market value is $2.50/ lb for the (live weight) whole beef, you would pay $2500.
