Target Plastics was established in 1989 and purchased in August of 1999 by Melissa Hescock. The new owner/operator, Melissa, began expanding the product line to incorporate the use of wood with the plastic products for trophies, awards, plaques, and additional special interest products. CNC Custom Design, owned and operated by Melissa Hescock, was incorporated into Target Plastics when she took ownership. This brought to Target Plastics a service-oriented business with current ties to the company as a contracted design agency. This merger eliminated the necessity to contract out to another agency for designs. Target Plastics, Incorporated uses a Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) Router in combination with other machinery to produce custom plastic products. The products are fabricated from sheet material and welded together with specialty glue, then either edge-polished or flamed to give a lustrous finished look. If clear plastic is used, the finished look is much like glass, without the delicate features of glass.
