We are a full service HVACR (Heat, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) company, licensed in the state of Maryland. Our primary servicing area covers Kent, Queen Anne's, Caroline and Talbot counties, located on the beautiful Upper Eastern Shore of Maryland. As an add-on feature, we offer a service contract option that will help keep your equipment maintained and virtually trouble free throughout it's life cycle. By scheduling periodic inspection and routine maintenance, problems can be averted by early detection in the performance of the service.

Another area of Customer Service I feel the need to address is the Health and Safety issues of certain industrial products installed in your home or business. Ever since the discovery of Asbestos fibers being carcinogenic to humans, major concerns about other insulating materials have been scrutinized throughout the industry. Extensive research performed by IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) has recently concluded that MAN-MADE VITREOUS FIBRES, which consists of FIBER GLASS, ROCK AND SLAG WOOL FIBERS, are a carcinogen risk free product and has been downgraded from a Group 2B classification ("possibly carcinogenic to humans") to a Group 3 classification ("not classifiable as to carcinogenicity to humans"). Inclusion of this information on our site is due to our use of a CertainTeed brand insulating duct board product in fabricating the ducting for your heat and air handling systems. We, here at Taylor's, value our customers and their concerns and strive to fulfill their needs.

Listed here are some service tips that we have found to be the more common problems, with simple solutions, that people might experience with their Heating or A/C units. If these tips aren't helpful to your problem after you read them, please feel free to contact us. Many manufacturers have web sites that list product information, including maintenance and troubleshooting guides. If you know the information to your particular product, go to that manufacturer's site for any information they may have.

Letter from CertainTeed: October 26, 2001 Dear IG Employee: Earlier this month, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) convened a scientific working group of the world's leading experts on the health and safety of man-made vitreous fibers, including glass fibers, to re-evaluate these fibers as to their potential carcinogenic hazard. These fibers originally were evaluated by IARC fifteen years ago. Following a thorough review of all of the medical-scientific data available, I am happy to tell you that, at IARC's October 2001 meeting, the scientific panel lowered the classification for glass wool insulation fibers from a Group 2B classification ("possibly carcinogenic to humans") to a Group 3 classification ("not classifiable as to carcinogenicity to humans").
