R. Michael Cianfrani is a paralegal at Taylor & Company Law Offices, LLP. Michael studied biology and philosophy at Duke University, where he earned a B.S. in 1998. Before joining Taylor & Company, Michael was a legal assistant at Howard Rice (1999-2005) and Keker & Van Nest (2005-2007), and worked as an independent discovery and trial consultant for Bingham McCutchen and several other Bay Area law firms (2008-2010). Michael has significant experience in intellectual property, patent, trade secret and complex civil litigation, and has led trial teams representing both plaintiffs and defendants.

Representation of clients in connection with a variety of unfair business practice claims. This work has included the representation of a leading manufacturer of sports trading cards in a consumer class action alleging violation of the California Constitution and statutory provisions pertaining to illegal lotteries.

Representation of a leading chipmaker and manufacturer of computer and communications products in the defense of federal court inventorship and patent ownership claims arising out of a corporate acquisition transaction.
