Tea & Taxes is an accounting and tax firm owned and operated by Wendy Marsden, CPA, EA, MSA from her home. Ms. Marsden has top-notch credentials (see below). She chooses to practice accounting in the small town of Greenfield, Massachusetts while raising her three small children.Other members of the firm include Ben Marsden, a computer network specialist and long-suffering husband during tax season. The children, Caroline, Gary and Samuel, are all likely to answer the phone or help with filing or entertain a client's children while the parents have their taxes done.CPA stands for Certified Public Accountant. Massachusetts, where Ms. Marsden is licensed, required passing the grueling, two-day uniform CPA exam. The vast majority of candidates do not pass on their first try, but Ms. Marsden did (without using a prep course!). Massachusetts also requires that several years of an apprenticeship must be served with another CPA. Both CPAs and EAs have continuing education requirements - which Ms. Marsden routinely exceeds!
