The History of W.L. Contractors, Incorporated With Toni Winkler's knowledge of business management and Larry Winkler's experience working in the traffic signal industry, this husband and wife team launched W.L. Contractors, Incorporated out of their home in October 1985. They were awarded their first contract for traffic signal maintenance by the City of Boulder in December 1985. Over the following years, W.L. Contractors has grown from a husband and wife team into Team W.L., a company of over 100 employees. Through W.L. Contractors success in the traffic signal construction and maintenance trades, W.L. Contractors has been provided with the opportunity to expand and take on new challenges. In 1995, W.L. Contractors formed an engineering division to provide a limited range of transportation engineering services. Through this venture, W.L. Contractors has been working hard, and succeeding at, making a name for itself as an engineering leader in Colorado's transportation industry. In 2000, W.L. Contractors expanded into the CCTV market to provide turnkey solutions for traffic monitoring in the traffic signal industry. W.L. Contractors continues to be a driving force in the transportation, and security industries by breaking new ground with innovative solutions. W.L.
