Description

Technical Packaging Systems , headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan, began in 1976 as Engineered Packaging Systems when it acquired Kalamazoo Rubber Stamp. In the early days we served primarily light industrial clients. We have since gravitated more to food and pharmaceutical companies’ packaging needs, although we are by no means restricted to those industries. We’ve also shifted from being a packaging distributor to a full-service packaging consultant. We still sell individual components and supplies, but we now design and implement full packaging systems, including start-up, and work on system optimization, as well as maintenance, with complete parts and service capability. We market in the Midwest, but we serve all plant locations of our clients. One of our values is loyalty; we’re especially proud of a more than 30-year relationship with several of our suppliers. Our business has grown because we focus on our customers’ needs and apply our extensive knowledge and experience to solve their packaging problems. That has made many of our customers loyal to us. We are an associate-owned company.

Reduce your corrugated usage. Shrink wrapping is both tamper resistant and tamper evident. It permits your product to be packaged at your site and displayed at your customer's with no intervening steps. Highly flexible for marketing various quantities of your product. Available as either semi- or fully automated and for intermittent or continuous operation form, fill & seal. Highly configurable with multiple sizes and speeds.

Yes, we provide solutions for product, case, and pallet handling. Conveyors may be of stainless steel, food-safe, sanitary design.

Stretch-wrap pallet-sized loads to avoid damage en route Wrapping boxes of products and pallet-sized loads for shipping is inexpensive and efficient, but only if you have the right equipment. You quickly lose efficiency if your stretch wrapping system requires too much manual handling. Any cost savings can be drastically reduced if your stretch wrapping doesn't properly secure the load. If your load isn't firmly wrapped, the load can shift in transit, resulting in severely damaged products. Technical Packaging Systems addresses those issues by offering Lantech automated stretch wrapping machines to wrap loads for shipment, be they small or big, heavy or light. These machines are designed to quickly wrap your products with a minimum of worker intervention, and to properly secure loads to prevent accidental shifting. TPS sells a number of Lantech machines including a series of turntable and straddle wrappers, plus the Lan-ringer for horizontal stretch wrapping. The Q-Series is Lantech's most versatile semi-automatic wrapper, featuring a turntable on which you can place a wide variety of sizes and types for wrapping from an auto film feeder.

Label applicators are flexible, price effective, stand-alone labelers that can be used with your current product handling system or a handling system purchased separately. Label applicators take up minimal floor space. They can be mounted on a portable stand or installed directly on product handling systems and conveyors. TPS specializes in offering label applicators from Quadrel Labeling Systems, a manufacturer of a wide-range of pressure sensitive and shrink-sleeve labelers, including the simple to install and use label applicators to state-of-the-art, main frame pressure sensitive labeling systems. The applicators come in a variety of sizes and capabilities, but all place labels within 1/32-inch accuracy.
