The Fiberoptic Light Scrambler is a device for optical microscopes that uses well corrected lenses and a single 1mm diameter step-indexed silica fiber to transform a non-uniform light source (e.g., the output from an arc lamp) into an exceptionally uniform disk of light which is then projected into the microscope.
