Ted Lare Design Build is the premiere landscaping company in Central Iowa. The business was founded in 1982 and has been the best in the business for thirty years. Ted started the business founded on education, experience, and creativity. Thirty years later, all of our designers have these same attributes. All of our designers have Bachelor Degrees in Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University, providing a strong foundation of creativity and problem solving skills. This education combines with years of experience to produce excellent designs that make your landscaping dreams a reality. All of our professional landscape designers have a bachelor degree in landscape architecture and the experience and creativity it takes to get the job done right. They will meet with you to come up with your personal landscaping plan based on your needs, wants, and dreams. Our designers strive to create unique and functional designs, which respect nature and the environment. Every detail is taken into account in order to design a yard you will enjoy for years to come. Plans may include planting designs, water features, retaining walls, patios, paths, pool designs, deck designs, and circulation routes. We do it all from designing single landscaping elements to full master plans. One of our experienced landscape crews will install the designs we have created for you. Each crew has years of experience installing landscapes in the Des Moines area, and specializes in planting or construction. All of our crew members know the importance of attention to detail and customer satisfaction, and they strive to complete each job with perfection.

Founded by Ted Lare in 1982. The company designs and installs landscaping projects throughout central Iowa for both commercial and residential. When Ted started the company it was a one man show. Today the company has grown to over 50 employees. Ted is still actively involved in the company, designing and overseeing the company operations. In 2007 we built new facilities on 88 acres in Cumming, Iowa, just a ten minute drive south from West Des Moines. Our new facilities include design offices, garden center, outdoor showrooms with examples of walls, patios, and gardens. We have built our reputation on designing and constructing unique designs, utilizing quality materials, superb customer service, and years of experience. Our designers offer years of experience and creativity in landscape design. Every detail is taken into account in order to design a yard you will enjoy for years to come.
