TAB focuses on education in San Miguel County and other communities near and far, providing year-round forums, services, and resources with help from its beneficiaries and the Telluride School District, both in the classroom and after hours. "My active involvement with TAB all through high school made me more aware and educated about the virus," says one former student. "I was able to educate my peers, meet amazing people living with HIV, sign a patch of the AIDS Quilt, and strut my stuff on the runway. This optimism helped me realize that being afraid is naïve.
