Helweg received his private security license in 196?. Fred significantly grew his business in 1988 when he purchased Texas Security Alarms. Atlas Alarms, LLC was formed in 2007 when Fred and his son John C. Helweg decided to become business partners. Atlas is truly a second generation family business. Fred’s security experience began in 1953 when he started working as a locksmith in Richmond, TX. Fred is a founding member of the Greater Houston Locksmith Association . He is recognized as a Master Locksmith and a well respected member of the security alarm and locksmithing communities. John has over ten years experience in Information Technology, Network Security, Systems Engineering and Administration. John is presently the Vice President of the Houston Gulf Coast Alarm Association and the HGCAA liaison and board member of the Texas Burglar & Fire Alarm Association . He went to the State Capital, in Austin, TX during the past legislative season to represent Houston Gulf Coast alarm dealers and the alarm industry in Texas.
