David Ackerman is President of DGA Associates, a Sacramento based government relations consulting firm specializing in representation for private sector clients. Mr. Ackerman has an extensive background in California government and politics, having served for over 40 years. Immediately prior to The Apex Group, Mr.

Bill Krauss has been on the inside of Sacramento politics and government for over 20 years. Krauss began his career working for a State Senator, followed by other political endeavors, including public relations consulting and legislative campaign management, with the last 14 years serving as a successful legislative advocate, focused on representing the diverse interests of some of America’s leading businesses and many of California’s small businesses.

There is no firm in Sacramento that understands commercial construction issues better than we do. We have represented the interests of the Associated General Contractors, Caterpillar Inc, and the California Surety Federation on issues impacting construction for over 20 years.

We bring a well rounded view of insurance issues and policies that are constantly changing in California. Workers’ compensation insurance has been an area of our expertise for over 30 years, having negotiated numerous workers’ compensation packages. We have seen and dealt with changes brought about by Proposition 103, including an elected Insurance Commissioner. Representing the construction industry has also brought us into a variety of insurance related issues.
