Description
MEDIATION Couples who want to separate but don't want the expense of paying lawyers for a lengthy court battle can use the help of a neutral mediator. The mediator serves as your guide, explaining what needs to be done and what choices you can make. You make your own decisions in complete privacy, on your schedule, and according to your needs. Lynn Fletcher is a mediator and collaboratively trained attorney. Lynn has mediated divorce and parenting issues for fourteen years. Lynn assists couples in improving communication, structuring workable parenting arrangements and generating creative options for dividing their assets and debts. Her mediation style is open, supportive, attentive and caring, and she tailors her style to the needs of the clients. Lynn is a Virginia Supreme Court Certified family mediator, a Mediator Mentor in the Family Division and a Mediator Evaluator in the Civil Division of the D.C. Superior Court. Lynn has a B.A. from Brandeis University and a law degree from Duke University School of Law. Lynn Fletcher is an AFCC-trained parenting coordinator and experienced family mediator who works with parents after separation and divorce to protect and sustain safe, healthy and meaningful parent-child relationships. Frequently communication between parents becomes more strained or breaks down completely during and after the divorce process. As disagreements and hostility mount, the children can be caught in the middle while the emotional and financial costs of ongoing litigation increase exponentially. As a parenting coordinator I assist parents to reduce conflict and to clarify and implement their parenting plan in order to improve outcomes for their children.
