Description

In 2010, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts launched a new approach to its work with the emergency food network across Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire Counties. The Network Capacity Building program seeks to integrate and enhance emergency food services in Western Massachusetts to provide more comprehensive and long-term solutions to hunger.

A 32-inch television, LCD projector and screen are available for use. In addition to the meeting space, there is a state-of-the-art kitchen to meet any culinary needs your group may have.

As member agencies of The Food Bank, these programs also have access to resources, trainings, and other capacity building services. We provide agencies with information about food safety and cleanliness standards, as well as storage guidelines. The Food Bank's Agency Relations department manages communication with all member agencies; trains agencies in Food Bank reporting procedures to meet USDA and Massachusetts requirements; and makes monitoring visits to each site at least once every two years, in compliance with Feeding America requirements.
