Our goal is to provide excellent service, and attention to your needs...our Charlottesville Bed and Breakfast is your home while you visit Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, James Monroe's Ashlawn-Highlands and the other sights in and around Charlottesville. Like all great hosts and hostesses we will never leave our home or our guests unattended!A charming English style country manor house built in the mid-1800's, the Inn at Monticello sits cradled in the valley at the foot of Thomas Jefferson's own Monticello Mountain. Monticello is less than a five minute drive from the inn. The Bed and Breakfast is located on five beautifully landscaped acres, close to Charlottesville's historic downtown, but with the feeling of the peaceful countryside. We look out across the sweep of manicured lawn toward the beauty of the mountains, and listen to the peaceful sounds of birds and our own babbling brook. The wide front porch welcomes guests as they return from a day of sightseeing or wine tasting. The common area of the inn was designed with the guest in mind, a sitting area with wood burning fireplace invites guests to enjoy the complementary afternoon refreshments of wine or hot tea in the cooler months. We offer five guestrooms, each with it's own private full bath. Our rooms are uniquely decorated with antiques and fine reproductions. All are coordinated with the elegance and comforts befitting a romantic country inn. Each room includes comfortable chairs for reading, a CD player with a collection of CD's, some with wood burning fireplace, canopy bed or even a private porch. All rooms have access to free high-speed Internet service, and free local phone.
