Brent served as the 2007 President of the Columbia Board of REALTORS ®, Past Chairman of the Columbia Multiple Listing Service (MLS), State Director for the Missouri Association of REALTORS ®, a member of the Board of Directors for the Columbia Board of REALTORS ®, and a graduate of Leadership Columbia which is sponsored by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce. A native of Nebraska, Brent is a doctor of veterinary medicine. He was a faculty member at the University of Missouri for 24 years where he served as the Head of Medicine for the College of Veterinary Medicine, wrote numerous scientific publications and textbooks, was a guest speaker at over 1,000 national and international meetings, and was elected to the MU Faculty Council serving as an Officer/Board Member for 3 years.
