Description

Background The Minaret is the University of Tampa ‘s student-run newspaper. It is published on a weekly basis and circulates 2,000 to 3000 copies on campus. In 2006, the newspaper staff was determined to reach a larger audience and in the process, they began publishing online. The Minaret Online partnered with College Media Networks (College Publisher v4.0) to provide the online community a way to catch up on campus news and events. In the summer of 2009, The Minaret Online became an independent online news source run entirely by students. The online edition provides various ways for students and the online community to read articles relating to News, Arts & Entertainment, Commentary and Sports.
