Clinical Psychologist or Neuropsychologist The NeuroDevelopment Center is currently seeking a licensed or licensable doctoral level clinical psychologist or Neuropsychologist for a full time staff psychologist position. The position is open immediately. The NeuroDevelopment Center is a private, multidisciplinary assessment and treatment center in Providence, RI, focusing on neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders in children as well as adults. Comprehensive assessment, consultation, and treatment services are provided at the center by psychologists, social workers, speech and language pathologists, and educators. Traditional and innovative assessment (including neuroimaging) and treatment modalities are employed. Experience with autistic spectrum, attentional, and/or anxiety disorders is helpful. Duties will include diagnostic assessments, individual and family therapy, parent guidance, school consultation, and supervision of post-doctoral fellows. Involvement in group therapy , including parent guidance groups and social development groups, as well as involvement in other Center programs such as our summer day camp and eeg biofeedback is optional. Compensation is competitive, and there is opportunity for significant income growth. The NeuroDevelopment Center is directed by Laurence M. Hirshberg, Ph.D. Dr. Hirshberg is a licensed clinical psychologist and serves on the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior of the Brown University Medical School. He has been specializing in work with neurodevelopmental disorders for over 15 years and consults and trains educators and clinicians across New England. Dr. Hirshberg has published and presented in many areas of clinical psychology and child development. The Center maintains close relations with the Brown Psychiatry Department and is establishing practica and internships with other local universities.
