A strategic advisory firm founded in 1990, the Optran Group creates exit strategies for owners of successful middle-market companies. Our typical client company grosses $3 million to $30 million (or more) a year in sales and employs from a dozen to several hundred people. We do not work with public companies or with firms that aren't profitable. The Optran Group’s professionals serve as impartial advisors to the business owner considering a future exit from his or her company. We come to the table with no predefined agenda, no canned "programs" to promote, and no products to push. We start with a totally clean sheet of paper and custom-design a unique strategy to achieve every exit objective. The Optran Group provides transactional services including middle-market sell-side investment banking. Victor Urbach M.S.M. is a nationally renowned business strategist, financial problem-solver and transaction advisor. The Optran Group was formed 19 years ago as an outgrowth of his decade-long private consulting practice. In addition to his expertise in business exit planning, Victor has a strong background in financial modeling, business development, marketing communications, and technology. Early in his career, Victor was a licensed professional engineer at Sperry and Eaton. He holds Master’s degrees in both mechanical engineering and management from Polytechnic University. He was also an adjunct professor at Pratt Institute in New York. Victor is married to Deborah, one of the top operatic vocal instructors in the New York metro area. Happily married for 23 years, they have two wonderful children. Son Jourdan is age 17 and a world-class concert violinist, Juilliard student, twice-published author, and founder & director of a 501(c)(3) charity: Children Helping Children. Son Alec (age 13) is a gifted cellist and the founder of the children's health charity: From The Ground Up. Victor serves on the board of National Multiple Sclerosis Society LI Chapter, and is president of the Westwood Community Association.
