Description
Grade/Specialty: Music, kindergarten through sixth grade. Background: I was a member of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association for over 25 years and I have completed Level I and Level II Orff training. While I was teaching I was interested in creating multidisciplinary units for students. My favorite project is my web site, The Virtual Museum of Music Inventions. Education: Denison University (Ohio) 1958-1961; Boston University,1961-63 (Bachelor of Music); National Louis University, 1989-90 (Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction). Career Experiences: Cambridge High and Latin School (Massachusetts), 1963-64 Willow Run Public Schools (Michigan), 1964-69 Ann Arbor Public Schools (Michigan), 1969-70 Oak Park Public Schools, 1972-2003 (Retired in June 2003) Interests and Activities: I enjoy playing violin with The Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest and with my string quartet. My other interests include Tai Chi and learning Japanese.
