The Way of the Master Minute

A In the Old Testament, God promised, "I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be your plagues ..."(Hosea 13:14) We had to be "ransomed" from the grave. We were held captive by the Law of sin and death in the same way a murderer is held captive by civil law. Isaiah also made promise of our rescue. He said, "He will swallow up death in victory."(Isaiah 25:8) This happened at the cross-"Jesus Christ ... has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel."(2 Timothy 1:10) Now God waits for us to fulfill His will so that the time will come when "God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain ..."( Revelation 21;4) There goes another minute.
