The Westerly Group is a multi-disciplinary design, planning and consultation firm. Specialists in historic preservation, we combine a wide range of skills and experience to address historic sites, landscapes, structures, buildings, marketing and community planning. Our technical capabilities include black and white archival photography in all photographic media (35mm, medium and large formats) to meet the standards of HABS/HAER/HALS, as well as digital architectural photography. Founded in 1982, the firm is a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE/DBE) which has worked for numerous state, local and federal agencies in the Midwest, the far west and many other parts of the United States. We are pre-qualified for historic preservation consultation by the Indiana Department of Transportation and are listed as qualified consultants by most State Historic Preservation Officers (SHPO) in the Midwest. Our work exemplifies our small-town environment: close, one-on-one involvement with our clients and projects. Yet we sustain the highest possible standards of quality. The Westerly Group has completed some of the most complex historic preservation planning projects in the country. We maintain a small office to keep overhead low. Strong relationships with other professionals (architects, engineers, conservators and other specialists) allow us to service large as well as small projects.
