Description
The idea originated in 1953 when Ken's parents presented him with a medallion that featured the family birthdays. When Ken and Malu were married they found that there was an extended family necessitating birthday anniversary records. Seizing upon the idea of the medallion they started their personal Birthday Board. They posted the Board in the kitchen. Friends added their names and the Board became a chronology of birthdays.
