Ann E. Kinner Johnson, CSYT. Ann is a Leading Certified Svaroopa ® Yoga Teacher, Embodyment ® therapist and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She opened The Yoga Corner in 2002. Ann has been studying yoga since 1996. She started at home with a book and was immediately hooked. Ann graduated to group classes with a local teacher and it wasn't long after that she started teaching and began formal Yoga Teacher Training at Kripalu. Intrigued and fascinated by all the different styles Ann took as many classes, workshops and trainings in different styles as she could. She quickly became a convert of Svaroopa ® yoga when it began to heal her locked shoulder and relieve chronic neck and shoulder tension. She lives in the country with her husband and visits her grown children (two of whom, she's proud to say, are also Certified Svaroopa ® Yoga Teachers) in California as often as possible. Contact Ann Nancy Myers Nancy is a certified Svaroopa ® Yoga teacher and Embodyment ® therapist. In 1998 she attended a weekend workshop with Swami Nirmalananda Saraswati, the founder of Svaroopa ® yoga and experienced such an exquisite transformation in her body and mind that she knew that she wanted to immerse herself in this yoga and to become a teacher. Her desire is to pass the pure teachings on to others through classes and private sessions. Nancy has lived in Ithaca since 1973. She is married and the mother of four wonderful children (some of her very best teachers). She recently became grandmother to two amazing little boys - Kariso and Telisho. Contact Nancy Casey Benson Casey is currently training to become a certified Svaroopa ® yoga teacher through the Master Yoga Foundation in Malvern, Pennsylvania. She has been studying yoga since 2003 and has practiced both Bikram and Iyengar. After her first Svaroopa ® class she felt such a sense of clarity that she continued practicing both at classes and at her home. She completed the Svaroopa ® Foundations course in June 2010 and immediately knew that this was the path for her. All of her doors began to open after she committed herself to the study of Svaroopa ®. Casey has been living in Ithaca since 2002 and has been teaching at Namaste Montessori School since 2007. She recently opened Yoga Mariposa, a yoga studio just for kids, in downtown Ithaca. Casey's passions include adventure, the outdoors, dancing, traveling, children, and yoga.
