A Fireproof Enclosure™ is a custom designed and manufactured ceramic fiber insulated SS enclosures, which protects by minimizing the radiant, convective and conductive heat transfer from the fire to the protected equipment. Typical fire test temperature rise in a UL-1709 Fire Test is 70-110 °F (21-43.3 °C).

No! K-Guard™ products selected for fireproofing electric actuators are designed and manufactured to include intumescent glass in the door covering the actuator electronics cover. The fireproof glass will allow IR readings or IR inputs to the actuator without opening the door. Selector switch operation will require opening of the door without removal of the K-Guard™.
