ThinGap Corporation manufactures an innovative line of brush and brushless motors utilizing a patented electromotive coil design and high efficiency motor controllers. The electromotive coil technology replaces the iron core and wire windings used in conventional motors with a precision-machined copper sheet. This produces a higher copper-packing density and higher copper-to-total-volume ratio than motors with circular or square wire windings. The unique coil enables motors with higher power-to-weight ratios, excellent power conversion efficiencies, a wider range of speed and torque capabilities, lower heat generation, higher temperature capability and lower electrical resistance.
