Which is why we launched the Minotour® with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) offering our customers a green, customizable transportation solution. The Minotour CNG puts out up to 20% lower greenhouse gas emissions than diesel engines, while offering a range of options to meet the needs of drivers and passengers. Since 1936, Thomas Built has been building safe buses to meet the needs of passengers, drivers and the community.

The resulting full line of driver-friendly school, activity, commercial, and specialty buses, are manufactured and produced in High Point, North Carolina, and are sold through independently owned dealerships throughout North America.

Bus routes come in all shapes and sizes. Short and hilly, long and bumpy or all of the above. The Saf-T-Liner® HDX and Saf-T-Liner® HDX CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) from from Thomas Built Buses was built to handle them all. We keep the driver comfortable with features like the standard tilt and telescoping steering wheel and optional adjustable pedals, while air conditioning, coach-style seating and heavy-duty shock absorbers make the ride a perfectly pleasant one for up to 90 passengers. Of course, safety is most important to everyone, which is why the HDX meets or exceeds FMVSS.
