Matt Yonan founded tigris in July of 2004. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at The Bonham Group, a sports marketing firm based in Denver. During his 10-year career with The Bonham Group, he served in nearly every capacity of the company including client services, new business development and sponsorship negotiations. He has knowledge of all areas of sponsorship marketing and has extensive practical experience in providing evaluation, negotiation and strategic counsel to major non-profit, municipal, cultural, sports and entertainment clients. These include FedEx, DIRECTV, IBM, JPMorgan Chase, the LPGA, the Olympics, World Cup Soccer, NFL, US Open Tennis, Wimbledon, PGA TOUR, city of Virginia Beach, Broward County Florida, City of Houston, major college bowl games, NASCAR, the NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball. During his tenure at The Bonham Group, he and his staff managed the evaluation of more than $3 billion in sponsorships on behalf of its clients. Matt has been quoted on naming rights and other sponsorship marketing issues in the Wall Street Journal, Facility Manager, Dallas Morning News, SportsBusiness Journal and The Houston Chronicle. He has served on the Denver Convention and Visitors Bureau's committee on sports development and the Governor’s Advisory Council on Physical Fitness. He is currently a Director on the Board of The Metro Denver Sports Commission.
