Timber Tree Company was established and incorporated in March of 1995 by James Marc Connolly and Dawn Rose Connolly. James Marc Connolly, Owner-Operator, (best known as Marc) is no stranger to the natural sciences. His success is attributed to his natural gift and background in life sciences, his mind for business, his creativity and his ability to relate and work well with people. Marc Connolly is qualified as a arborist and heavy equipment operator. He has extensive knowledge of Florida trees and shrubs, fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, soil amendments, seeds, forages, and limestone products. Marc knows how to properly select and transplant, prune, trim, shape, reduce, install and remove trees. He knows how to manage pests and parasites and ensure that trees in his care grow well and remain structurally safe. Marc combines his physical skills, his technical knowledge and his sincere interest in trees to satisfy his customers and earn a good living. As a member of the Tree Care Industry Association and the International Society of Arboriculture, Marc keeps abreast of the latest technology and constantly offers his staff training in tree maintenance and safety. Marc grew up in Brielle, New Jersey and worked on commercial fishing boats from the time he was 9 years old until he reached the age of 18. At 18, Marc moved to Clinton, New Jersey where he operated the family farm for 15 years. Marc, a natural on the sea, was also a natural on land. He successfully raised and harvested hay, alfalfa, corn, oats, wheat, barley, pumpkins, Christmas trees, nursery stock, and a full line of Jersey Fresh produce. Additionally, he raised Suffolk Sheep, suckling pigs, chickens, pheasants, steers and horses; producing his own special-blend of feed. He also operated a nursery and produce stand, complete with a petting zoo and wagon rides. Marc farmed 120 acres for three other parties in satisfying farm land assessment designations. He was a landscaping crew foreman for the 260+ acre Johnson & Johnson plant in Bridgewater, New Jersey for two years. Marc was also a heavy equipment operator for an excavating company in Clinton, New Jersey for 2 years. Responsible for hundreds of acres of ground, Marc constantly sharpened his horticultural and arboricultural skills and learned early how to care for trees and shrubs. Dawn Rose Connolly, Business Administrator for Timber Tree, has a B.S. degree in Natural Resources Management/Forestry. She has been in the natural resources/business management arena for over 30 years. Timber Tree Company, Incorporated continues to grow and improve its business and offerings and remains a serious contender in the tree care profession.
