The WVU team integrated Time Domain’s P410 UWB ranging radios as a critical part of their system, using them to provide autonomous navigation for the vehicle as it made its way to the sample object (the participants were not allowed to use GPS since, you know, there’s no GPS on Mars or Tattooine ).

Mr. Dewberry has over 25 years of experience in advanced sensors and has spent the past 14 years applying UWB RF technology to complex ranging, communications, radar, and fused sensor systems. Prior to joining Time Domain he developed space-borne instrumentation and control electronics at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Mr. Dewberry holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with an emphasis in Communications and Control Systems, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Auburn University.
