Description

TimePilot Corporation is led by the inventor of the TimePilot system, Douglas F. Marsh. Since 2001, TimePilot has substantially upgraded the system's software and hardware, and is dedicated to bringing time management efficiency and controls to our customers. The systems are used by companies across the U.S. and Canada. Our time and attendance systems are assembled at our facility in Batavia, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Our locks are assembled in China and tested at our Batavia headquarters.

For the last three years, Tour d'Afrique has used TimePilot Extreme timeclocks with our off-the-shelf software. For this year's race, however, TimePilot has customized its Extreme system to provide race times down to the second.

TimePilot Corporation is an independent company formed with the assistance of Spectrum Companies International, Ltd., in 2001. Spectrum, a 30-year-old Batavia, Illinois, company that manufactures a variety of products and has a client list that includes Panasonic, McDonald's and Coca-Cola, had manufactured the time and attendance system under the InTime name since 1998.

Wood, whose 15-employee Illinois company was founded in 1982, has been using the TimePilot system for the last four years. He says his old time card system was time-consuming and "prone to errors with guys punching in and out." It took an hour a week to process the cards, he says.
