(photo by NATALIE KENNEDY) Workers from Nickerson Construction, Blossburg, pry off the redwood facade on the front of the future home of the Deane Center for the Performing Arts, formerly Davis Furniture, to reveal the detailed brickwork beneath it. The crew worked Friday, Dec. 11, in bone-chilling winds to remove about half of the facade and completed work on Monday, Dec. 14. The project continues to gain momentum with Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson’s announcement of an additional $100,000 federal grant.
