TLS Landscape, Inc. is currently owned and operated by the Story brothers, Scott and Todd. The company roots were planted in 1990 by Tom Sawyers while he and Todd were attending Texas A&M Univeristy for degrees in horticulture. Scott joined Tom in 1992 when the company was transplanted to the Dallas area and Scott added his lawn care, carpentry skills and experience to the mix. After graduation in 1994, Todd came aboard taking over the landscape design and installation responsibilities as well as tree service.

We are eager to provide proper plant care advice to our customers and, if appropriate, dispel some common myths and inaccuracies regarding landscape care. In terms of mowing, we offer everything from the simple "as needed" approach to the full year-round care to meet all of the customer's landscape needs. With over twenty years of experience, we can care for your lawn and landscape with proven horticultural practices.

We specialize in designing and installing custom “naturalized” landscapes using a variety of colors, textures, and materials. We encourage “water-wise” plantings as well as responsible watering of your new landscape. We do our best to implement native or naturalized plant material wherever possible. This provides healthy landscapes with low water, pruning, and pest control demands. We do our best to encourage our customers not to over-plant their landscape. We try to look 10 years down the road to what your landscape will look like. Much of your landscape is living and growing.

We exhibit a strong influence on proper tree trimming. Todd, especially, has tremendous experience in complex tree trimming in difficult spaces. We do specialty pruning of large and small trees as well as shrubs, ground covers, and perennials.

Our landscape designs are specifically tailored for the customer, the climate and the budget. We recommend using native plants and natural landscape design and are conscious about not wasting our plant's resources and being environmentally responsible. Transforming a heavily wooded, natural area into a "woodland garden" is one of our favorite projects. We specialize in residential, estate properties and small commercial.
