Tom and his wife, Ann, are from Brooklyn, New York. They both worked for the New York Telephone Co.Tom as an Electronics Engineer and Ann as a Customer Service Representative. They wanted a warmer climate in which to raise their two children. In 1973 they transferred to Southern Bell Telephone Co. in Orlando, Florida. In 1976 they moved to Gainesville, Florida, home of the University of Florida, and have been in love with the Gators ever since. In 1983 they were blessed with a Gator of their own when Jonathan Paul Thomas was born. After living in Gainesville for over 20 years, Tom took an early retirement from Southern Bell Tel Co. and they moved to New Port Richey to be closer to family. Tom attended PTEC in St. Petersburg for HVAC. After getting hands on experience working for a few A/C companies, Tom opened Tom Moore Heating & Cooling, Inc. Jonathan, like his brother, Christian, would eventually help Tom and Ann run the family business. Their daughter, Beth, would occasionally answer phones and correspondence. The company grew by leaps and bounds, mostly by word of mouth from very satisfied customers.
