A Food Recall is a mandatory action taken by a company to remove any problematic products from market shelves. Two agencies handle food product recalls: The United States Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration. The USDA is responsible for recalls related to meat, poultry and eggs. The FDA handles all other food products. If you have purchased a recalled food product, please follow the instructions given in the recall notice.
