By 1998 we had outgrown the building we were in and moved into a building next door with over 2500 sq. ft. of space. In our new location we expanded our inventory to include camouflage netting, canvas tarps, quality knives, flags, hat pins, duty gear, military patches, and insignia and also started carrying new military clothing as well as surplus. In the past five years the quantity of military surplus has declined, but we remain committed to offering our customers a great selection of new and used merchandise. Another commitment we have made to our customers includes choosing quality American made products instead of cheap foreign imports. Top Outfitters Army Surplus and More started doing business in 1995. Our first location was a 1000 sq. ft. building near our current location on Rte 37. Initially our store only offered genuine military surplus. Soon after opening we expanded our inventory to include Carhartt bib overalls. As our business grew we later added paintball guns and supplies, becoming the first store in Southern Illinois to offer the next generation of paintball equipment.
